Upcoming Christian Films

July 28, 2008

There are many, many films being produced by aspiring and professional Christian filmmakers as we speak.  Some are going to theaters, some to film festivals, some will go straight to DVD.  But unless people know about them, and support the filmmakers by watching the films and buying the DVDs, then the Christian film industry cannot survive.  So I’m doing my part in spreading the word about these films.  May God prosper them!

Here are some films that I’ve been following the production of:

Long Distance Love, Premieres and Web Series

July 21, 2008

Well, Natalie and her parents went back home today.  It’s hard being apart, especially at this stage in our relationship, but I’m comforted knowing that I’ll be seeing her again soon, Lord willing.  I’m planning on going out to California in August for the premiere of the documentary Illegal Hope, produced by Potbelly Pig Productions.  It’s about people who go from the United States to Mexico seeking alternative treatments for cancer.  You can find out more about this intriguing story at www.illegalhope.net.  According to the website, the premiere will be on August 23 at 6:00 pm at Chapman University in Orange, CA.  I encourage everyone to check this out, and I’ll see you there.

In other news, we at Western Christian Media have begun production on an Alternate Reality Game-type web series called Project: GAEA.  It tells the story of an environmental activist group called the Global Alliance for Environmental Advancement (GAEA) that operates to protect and preserve natural resources from human use.  Most believe that GAEA’s mission is noble at best, harmless at worst.  But some start to question GAEA’s methods, and their true motives are revealed.  You can keep track of the series by going to www.ProjectGAEA.com.

BIG NEWS!!!

July 17, 2008

ZACK: Well, how do we begin?

NATALIE: We went for a gondola ride today.

ZACK: Yeah, but not a water type gondola. Razz The gondola in Telluride, CO. Big difference.

NATALIE: I knew something was up when Zack had my parents wait for the next cabin. Wink

ZACK: It was all part of my plan. Mr. Green I waited until we cleared the station before I said anything.

NATALIE: He started by asking me if I knew what day it was. Confused

ZACK: …and she didn’t. Laughing I reminded her that today was 22 months to the day since I’d started courting her.

NATALIE: Ooh! Embarassed

ZACK: Then I, uh, fumbled for, um, the right words. And, uh, then I just decided to cut to the chase and blurt it out. I told her I loved her and wanted to spend the rest of my life with her.

NATALIE: But then he couldn’t get the box out of his pocket! Laughing Then he fell over trying to kneel!

ZACK: Hey, it wasn’t my fault! The gondola stopped moving just as I got up to dig the ring out of my pocket! (You enjoy telling that way too much, don’t you? Wink ) Well anyway, once I finally got my footing (or would it be kneeing?) I opened the ring box and asked her to marry me.

NATALIE: And I said yes. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

ZACK: And there was much rejoicing.

BOTH: Yay.

Our first picture after getting engaged.

Pretty self-explanatory. Razz

When the four of us reached the end of the ride, my parents were there waiting for us, but we forgot to get a picture of all six of us! Embarassed So this is all we have of that meeting.

The ring

Back to the beginning

On the way back to the ranch.

Her dad’s reaction!

Just kidding! He was just playing around. Laughing
